How to use this flickr group
|
PHR student members are invited to share their photos from their Empty White Coat Activities on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2006.
Also feel free to share your photos from the 2006 PHR National Student Conference.
Getting Started
If you don't already have a flickr account, go here to get one (it's free!).
Sign in to flickr and upload some photos: * Click on the triangle, next to "You," at the top of the page, and select "Upload Photos."
* Browse your hard drive for the photos you want.
* Click on "UPLOAD." Navigate to the PHR - Student Chapter Photos page and click on "Join this group," next to the discussion items.
Send Your Photos to the PHR Student Chapters Group:* Go to the page of the photo you want to share with the group.
* Click on the "Send to Group" button that you should see between the photo-title and the photo itself.
* Choose "Physicians for Human Rights - Student Chapter Photos."
Tag It! Tag It! Tag It!
"Tags are like keywords or labels that you can add to a photo to make it easier to find later. You can tag a photo with tags like 'catherine yosemite hiking mountain trail' and then later on if you are looking for pictures of Catherine you can just click on that tag and get all photos that have been tagged that way." Tag your photos on the upload page or on the page that comes up after the upload is over.* Tag to indicate your school, e.g., "yale," "umassboston," "tufts," etc.
* For Empty White Coats activities, use "whitecoats."
* For all World AIDS Day photos, use "worldaidsday06."
* For student conference photos, use "defendingdignity."
* Make up your own. They're your photos!.
Power Users
Flickr Uploader
You can upload batches of photos from a simple desktop application, called Flickr Uploader, available for both Mac and Windows, here.
Batch operations
Click on "Organize," at the top of the page, to send batches of photos to this group all at once, or to add or edit tags on a number of photos.
