About Photowalking
"Photowalking", is a term popularised by Robert Scoble's four episodes series called "Photowalking with Thomas Hawk", where he simply walked along with photographer Thomas Hawk, and asked him questions as he took photos. And it's a superb conversation with a good photographer who tells a lot about his job and useful technical tips.
Introduction:
This group is set up for photographers who are interested in showing the photographs taken at their own photowalking sessions. Photowalking is somewhat different from "Street Photography". is a type of documentary photography — without explicit social agenda — that usually features people in candid situations in public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions, and other settings (Wkipedia). Whereas, Photowalking is photography that usually features non human objects that are on the streets, parks, beaches, mall, etc.
What are not photowalking shots:
1. purposely set up macro photography on flowers, insects and still life subjects. Macro photography on subjects found during photowalking sessions are ok such as items from a shop window, something on the public places such as streets, parks, etc.
2. Studio type portrait shots, or shots that are purposely setup. All portraits must be "spur-of-the-moment" or candid shots.
Rules for this group:
1. Post maximum of 5 photos a day.
2. Comment on at least 1 on the photo to your right
3. Post only your best photos
4. No nudity, any kind of sexual stuff, pornographic pictures are not permitted.
5. This group is only by invitation. If you wish to join, please kindly state that you have understood these rules and that you are willingly to follow them.
