Resizing Multiple Images on Different Layers
 |
I have searched and searched the internet and this forum and cannot find exactly what I'm looking for.
I am trying to create a customized team photo. I have the team photo as one layer and have pasted action shots of each player around the team photo on their own layers. So now, I have one layer as the team photo and 11 more layers, one for each of the 11 players.
How can I easily resize all these 11 pictures to the same size without doing each one manually. I know I can use the Transform tool, but as far as I know I would have to do each one individually.
Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Use the image processor to size and copy them all before importing them, on a windows system File>scripts>image processor and set the image size in the height and width for maximum pixel dimensions.

Although you want to resize the photos and I understand your desire to make less work for yourself, I feel compelled to point out something.
If you used the "PLACE" command under file menu, you will introduce a layer confined to the image size (it won't run over the edges like a copy and paste would) AND NOT ONLY THAT, but it comes in as a smart object.
So what???? you may say.
As a smart object you can resize at a whim LOSE NO PIXELS. If it's just a regular layer and you shrink it and then decide you want it larger, it's BIG WHOOPS. Since when you shrunk it, you destroyed data.
Also, as a smart object, you can double click the layer and edit it's original and save and close.
Smart objects can be your friend for composite photos.

select all of the layers you want to resize, then on the top bar click "show transform controls" (visable when you have the arrow tool). it should be a little check box thing. thats how i do it.

Another excellent tip from TG! One thing that I have discovered about this is when using a layer mask and brushing in and out certain parts of my image is that if I want to resize the image to fit some new configuration or work with other elements(I'm working with two smart objects) I have to go over my mask again to correct any elements that may have slid over into masked areas. That is to say, redo the masking. It's a fun process though. I'm just about finished with a transparency image over another image. It required multiple objects. This is way cool!
