Hello!
I was just hired as an intern for the summer with a professional photographer, and one of the biggest things we do is Photoshop.
I just wanted to get some feedback on my first attempt at using layer masks and liquefying...
Before this past Tuesday, I've only used the spot healing brush as my main source of skin smoothing (TEDIOUS!) and resorted to cloning out extra fat...but this is a whole new ballpark!

I first created a background layer. I then started using the patch tool to get rid of tiny wrinkles, blotchy skin, and uneven tones. After that, I cloned out the stray hairs using the cloning stamp. I then proceeded to mask her skin using the quick mask function, then inverted it, and applied a Gaussian blur with a 1.5 pixel radius. After that, I started liquefying. I pulled in her arms, waist, head (LOL) and chin. I also added some extra bust and lips. After that, I patched her chin to get a more even tone. I then used the eyedropper and paintbrush (at 5% opacity) to airbrush her skin. I then applied another layer mask on her outfit, and inc. contrast. After that I masked her skin, and inc. contrast on that along with a little dodging and burning. Did one more mask on her skin, inverted it, and reduced noise and TA-DA!
whewww...that was a lot...
So does it look good?
I don't want to give the girl an eating disorder...so I didn't take her in too much.
All of this was done with a calibrated screen (PC) with a Wacom graphics tablet...I used my laptop since my tablet wouldn't work with his mac's?
So...begin the assault!
haha
