The idea of this is to get together and give each other the confidence to photograph people and things you might not have if you were out by your lonesome with a camera.


Happy new year one and all!

In the spirit of new year's resolutions, here are my Photomagical resolutions:
** I intend to organise more events!
** Get more activity and interaction going in this group!
** Get more members!

Thusly, I propose the following dates to you all for Photomagical events over 2009:

January - Saturday 24th/25th
February - Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd
March - Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd
April - Saturday 25th/Sunday 26th
May - Saturday 23rd/Sunday 24th
June - Saturday 20th/Sunday 21st
July - Saturday 25th/Sunday 26th
August - Saturday 22/Sunday 23rd
September - Saturday 26th/Sunday 27th
October - Saturday 24th/Sunday 25th
November - Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd
December - Saturday 19th/Sunday 20th

There is flexibility on those dates, of course, but I think it'll do as a schedule for now. I've created a Google calendar (http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=813p85b2id7p0bl1alclt61nfc%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/London) with these dates on, and later, I will create facebook events for each one of these events with a specific date, time and location.

I hope you can all make the January one! I won't be able to due to work, but I will appoint someone who can attend to act as a contact for that event.
My first one of the year will be February - hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Remember: I'm as much of a noob as anyone when it comes to photography so don't be afraid to turn up with anything from a point-and-shoot compact or film camera or a super-fancy digital SLR!
