OK, I think it's time to get this group going a bit more, and what better way than to have a little challenge with a prize.

The prize will be a 1gb memory card to suit your digital camera. The challenge is open to anyone, but as this group is for people wanting to learn the basics, I hope all you experts will give the other guys a chance.

So here is the challenge, I want an image taken by you on the following subject:

New and Old

Be as creative as you can. I don't want any computer manipulations here, just a straight photo. This could be old and new buildings, old and young people etc etc.

So get thinking, you have until Feb 22nd midnight (GMT) to submit your entry into this thread. Please don't submit huge images here, just link them to the main image on your flickr account.

Maximum of 2 entries per person.

Good luck!!

I'm going to extend the deadline until the end of Feb.

Please remember to post the pictures you want to enter in this thread, just adding them to the pool doesn't count!!

I hope I'm not going to be the only entry !

My two pictures after some consideration :

New and Old. Dungeons and Dragons, the pen and paper role playing game has been around since the 1970's. In the background is the computer game of the same name.

and..

New and Old. Auntie Barbara gave up driving to the shops at the age of 87 and bought a computer so she could shop online instead ! Auntie is now 94 and is still able to use a computer to play bridge !

yes, this group is still here, well I am anyway.

I said I'd close the comp at the end of feb, but there have not been too many entries so far.

rules are rules though, so this challenge is now CLOSED and I'll announce the winner very soon.

I'll think of another challenge soon too, maybe with an easter theme.... hmmmm
