16 Dec 09 - This is a good time of year to go out and start a series for the group. The landscape is changing fast and won't be long til you can take some shots in the snow.

This is a group for PAIRS or MULTIPLE shots, taken over a period of time, with the photographer trying to mimic the view & subject of an older shot. Show how things change and how they stay the same. Even if the only thing that changes is the light, weather or people inhabiting the shot.

Landscapes, Portraits, Still lifes, Architectural, whatever works for you. Color and B&W.

Time period between shots can vary...from a couple seconds to infinity, and beyond. Take a shot on the way to work and take the same one on the way home. Don't even have to get out of the car. C'mon, you can't resist slack rules like that.

Posters should indicate the date taken of each shot, or some way of distiguishing between them.

My method is to post a small or medium version of the OLDER shot as a comment on the newer shot. You can get the html code for these versions by choosing the ALL SIZES button on the Flickr phot page. Just copy it, paste it into the comment box and PRESTO...yes, it's that easy.

But post them however you want. Just posting both shots to the pool consecutively is fine also. If I add another shot to a series already in the Pool, i just delete the old posted photo from the pool and replace it with a new one, but that's not necessary for all.

Thanks,

J Katrencik
