photoffee

The photoffee aims to weld together the photographic & associated efforts of individuals into one strong unit. We help pictorealist photographers & graphic designers sell prints of their work. We also help them improve their photography and get published. Since 2011, this Dhaka based organization provides competitions, workshops and programs of various related subject matter and serves photographic news. We've organized several photowalks. We have also published several photography books. We have published the country's first encyclopedia of photography- Photography Dictionary. Membership of photoffee is open to all photo & graphics lovers. We also want to make it very clear that there is no space for pro-Jamaat-e-Islami minded people.

Each month, one photo from `photoffee Flickr group’ is selected to be photoffee’s `Photo of the Month’. The winner's photo will be published in the Daily Jugantar & the Online Press magazine. Each monthly photo winner will receive a mug sponsored by Sheltech Together Communications and a gift-hamper sponsored by Razzak Chemical Industries & Bhai Bhai Food Products of Sylhet.
Each week we will also select one photo from the submissions. Selected submission will be published in `Shaptahik 2000’, the largest circulated and leading weekly magazine in Bangladesh.

ফটোগ্রাফিকে যারা ভালোবাসেন, যারা এবিষয়ে চর্চা করেন তাদের জন্য একটি মঞ্চ হিসেবে কাজ করা ফটোফি -এর উদ্দেশ্য। আমরা প্রধানত শিল্পবোধসম্পন্ন আলোকচিত্রী এবং গ্রাফিক্স ডিজাইনারদের সাহায্যে কাজ করি যাতে তারা তাদের তোলা ছবি প্রকাশ ও বিক্রি করতে পারেন। ২০১১ সাল থেকে এই ঢাকাভিত্তিক সংস্থাটি ফটোগ্রাফিক প্রতিযোগিতার আহ্বান করছে, ফটোগ্রাফিকেন্দ্রিক কর্মশালা ও অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করছে। পাশাপাশি আলোকচিত্রীদের জন্য ফটোগ্রাফিক খবরাখবর সরবরাহ করে। আমরা নিয়মিত ফটোওয়াকের আয়োজন করে থাকি। ফটোফি-এর পক্ষ থেকে বেশকিছু ফটোগ্রাফিসংক্রান্ত বই প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশে আমরাই প্রথম একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ ফটোগ্রাফি কোষগ্রন্থ প্রকাশ করেছি- ফটোগ্রাফি ডিকশনারি। এই সংগঠনের সদস্যপদ সকল আলোকচিত্রকলা ও গ্রাফিক্সপ্রেমীদের জন্য সহজলভ্য। তবে বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতাবিরোধী ব্যক্তিদের জন্য এখানে কোনো স্থান নেই।

আমরা আমাদের ফ্লিকার গ্রুপে আপলোড হওয়া ছবিগুলো থেকে প্রতিমাসে একটি সেরা ছবির আলোকচিত্রীকে পুরস্কৃত করি। ফটো অব দ্য মান্থ বিজয়ীর ছবি ছাপা হয় দৈনিক যুগান্তর ও অনলাইন প্রেস পত্রিকায়। বিজয়ী পান শেলটেক টুগেদার কম্যুনিকেশন্স, ঢাকার পক্ষ থেকে ফটো অব দ্য মান্থ লেখা একটি আকর্ষণীয় মগ এবং সিলেটের ঐতিহ্যবাহী রাজ্জাক কেমিক্যাল ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজ ও ভাই ভাই ফুড প্রোডাক্টস-এর পক্ষ থেকে গিফ্ট-হ্যাম্পার।
শুধু তাই নয়, আমরা প্রতিসপ্তাহে একটি সেরা ছবি নির্বাচন করে থাকি, যা ছাপা হয় দেশের সবচেয়ে বড় সাপ্তাহিক পত্রিকা- সাপ্তাহিক ২০০০-এ।
