About Get Out On the Land Photo Contest
The next few months are the best time to see POST land at its most scenic. To give you an extra incentive to get out on the land, we’re sponsoring a photo contest to capture the beauty of our shared backyard.
The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2011. The grand-prize winner’s photo will be featured in the fall issue of Landscapes. Finalists will be featured on our website.

Photos must be of a property POST has worked to protect. Photos may show wildlife, plant life, natural landscapes, weather or people enjoying the land. Note: If you choose to include people in your photos, please identify them (first and last names) and be sure you have their permission to use their images in your photo.
All photographs will remain the copyright of the photographer. However, by entering the contest, you hereby grant POST a royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute and publicly display your photographs through print and electronic media as well as the right to use your name in publications and other promotions. By submitting work, you also accept that POST may adjust your images to make them suitable for use.
This contest is open only to amateur photographers. Those making more than 50% of their income from photography are considered professionals.
Images cannot have been previously published.
Entries must have a minimum resolution of 4 megapixels.
Before entering the contest be sure to name your image files as follows:
[PROPERTY NAME]_[PHOTO NUMBER]_[PHOTOGRAPHER NAME]_2011.jpg
For example,
WINDYHILL_01234_JANESMITH_2011.jpg
Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, and artistic merit. The judges are staff members familiar with photography and responsible for selecting images for various POST printed and online marketing materials. All decisions made by the judges are final.
