About Photo Aid 2011 - Project Sun Rise
This group has been set up for any photographer participating in the Photo Aid 2011 - Project Sun Rise charity fund-raising effort. The aim is to use quality portrait photography to raise money for the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal and the equivalents in countries around the world.
Chances are many of the photographers will be using a camera that was either made in Japan or owes a lot of its design or components to Japanese technology, innovation or design.
The British Red Cross has asked that UK participants use Virgin Money Giving, the team page can be found here: uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PhotoAid2011 for online sponsorship collection. For photographers working in locations without internet access for online donations official Red Cross collection pots must be obtained. The Red Cross can provide posters and other materials to help promote your event. Please post a message in the discussions if your setting up your own team or location.
