24 Jan 11 - By completing a short survey, you will provide us with the information to develop a catalogue of images which can really help your organisation stand out. This venture is dependent on sharing: you share your needs and we share our images. In doing so we can make better use of photography across the sector.

About PhotoSocial

An image can convey a thousand words. Our aim is to provide social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations with a set of free images to use to promote themselves and their work. This venture is dependent on sharing: you share your needs and we share our images. In doing so we can make better use of photography across the sector.

We also aim to arrange Flickrmeets to encourage 3rd sector people to engage with other photography enthusiasts and increase their awareness of how photography can be best used for their organisation or other social benefit.

What's in it for us orgs? You get quality, free images for commercial use and the opportunity to improve your skills and knowledge about photography!

What's in it for us photographers? you get to improve your chances of gaining work, building your networks, showcasing your talents and the kudos that you're doing someone a good turn!

You should license photos added to this group as 'Attribution-NonCommercial Creative Commons' on Flickr.

Photos added to this group take on additional license permissions: despite the 'Non Commercial' tag, Organisations from the Third Sector (Social Enterprises, Community & Voluntary not-for-profit) can use these images for commercial use if they wish. However, they must attribute the images correctly (ie: include a link to the specific image or Flickr user)

Organisations who don't come under a not-for-profit banner, cannot use these images commercially.

Example: A Social Enterprise restaurant looking for images of natural products for their website could use images from this group for free.

Example: A community group from Birmingham looking for images of the Bullring for their latest publicity flyers could use images from this group for free.

Example: A self employed plasterer looking for images of families to use on his website could not use images from this site.

If you are unsure if you can use these images for your organisation, please ask a question in the discussion thread.
