All of the current entries have met an initial inspection and are considered valid, prizes will only be awarded to entries with original version exif info intact
Please take a few minutes and look through all of the entries and rank your top three in each category, put them in order or number them #1, #2 and #3, then flickrmail them to me so we can tabulate the results.

About Ventura Harbor Photo Contest
Happy Holidays Flickrers!
The weekend of December 19th to December 21st the Ventura Harbor is putting on the 32nd Annual Parade of Lights. I have contacted some very receptive Ventura businesses who agreed to sponsor a photo contest open to Flickr members in the area or those who are willing to travel to the area.
The photo contest will be consist of pictures taken at or of the Ventura Harbor, their guests and the wonderful decorations and boats. The photos must be taken on the weekend of the Parade of Lights Festival and Winter Wonderland, Dec 19 - 21, 2008
There will be four categories of serious competition and one for the kids too! Just bring the Family, Have some fun and get some great photos. the four categories are;
1. "Party People" for pictures of the people and families attending or working at the Ventura Harbor that weekend. You know happy shiny...
2. "Beautiful Boats" for images of the boats and buildings of the harbor all decked out (sorry for the pun) there are some great new ones there.
3. "Creative Control" This is a fun category for Holga/Diana/Lomo or Toy photos, Pinhole, Extreme tilt shift / Lensbaby or just Photoshopped to the max Art images... Anything goes as long as it's family friendly and is recognizably about the Ventura Harbor.
4. "Delightful Details" this is for macro and not quite macro shots, wonderful bokehs of twinkle lights and the little things that might get missed by the casual viewer at the Ventura Harbor.
There will also be a fun children’s category, not pictures of kids but pictures by kids, children 14 and under are encouraged to submit their photos, please no help by the big kids! the prizes for this category so far are tickets to the Carousel/Arcade and an ice cream cone certificate but these may increase between now and the contest.
