30 Jun 07 - I am interested in putting together a group of photographic imagesmiths interested in some constructive discussion and criticism of art photography. This would be a closed group concerned with photography as art in the contemporary art world. I am currently a grad student in photography and I have been teaching beginning photography and criticism for 5 years at a UTEP (University of Texas in El Paso) and NMSU (New Mexico State University). Please let me know what you think.

About contemporary image making and photo critiqueA group concerned with criticizing photographs through history of art photography with emphasis on contemporary art theory and postmodern art photography. Once a week the group will criticize images that are sent in, through group discussions and valid critique. I am a graduate student in photography, and I have been teaching beginning photography to students for 5 years now. I am interested in getting together a group of photo artists interested in some serious discussion about art and photography in contemporary art. All good suggestions to make this not only a good group, but a very constructive and helpful group is appreciated. I will start this group as soon as I have support from other friends and fellow flickerans. Until then this group is under construction |
