About Phoenix Street, Editorial, and Journalistic Style Photography
This Group is open to anyone from anywhere. It was started to encourage people in the Phoenix area to post photos, but I want to open it up to anyone. That said, I will keep the name unchanged.
This is a group for posting candid shot of people, events, and everyday life. The focus is a blend of street, journalistic, and editorial style photography, with maybe a touch of lifestyle photography. The goals is not so much to create photos that fit a particular definition but to capture life and the feelings of life. In general, photographs should be of people or things that affect people and their lives. In general, they should not be self portraits.
As I have noted above, the group is NOT restricted to photos of Phoenix or to people living in the Phoenix area. However, I am encouraging people from the Valley area to join. I would like this group to develop into a fairly close-knit group who can get together for periodic meet-ups, socially or for photographs.
I want encourage everyone to comment on other photographer's photos. This is just encouragement and is not a requirement. I also encourage meaningful comment and polite critique of photos. The goal should be to encourage photographers and to help us all grow in our craft.
