About PhoDeo - Quality "Photos in Motion"

PhoDeo is the contraction of the words "photo" and "video"; that means this group is for postprod video format animation made out of photos. In other words, motion pictures made out of still pictures! Only! Technics like time lapse, stop motion or go motion are welcome.

Your video was shot with a videocamcorder or thanks to the video capabilities of your photo camera? That's fine, but it will not be accepted in this group! Except for some few stop motion films.

We here love photography and consider Flickr's decision to go video only as an opportunity for true photographers to develop new ideas and to conceive original animation experiments, always using their film or digital camera as the primary tool. Only short fragments of real video may be part of the global animation, brief though and just for the work purpose.

Quality and/or originality is essential. An animation just made of lousy snapshots won't make its way in the pool. Vulgarity and vacuousness will also be a handicap!

All types of works respecting the basic rules are welcome. This group is for a global public audience: offensive and pornographic contents are therefore not accepted.
