30 Jun 07 - Reminder: This group is for the Plaques, not just pictures of historic places. Pictures must be posted in pairs. One of the PHLF Plaque, and one of the landmark showing the location of the plaque.

About Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation (PHLF) Plaques
Rules:
1- Photos should show the PHLF Plaque
2- Photos should be submitted in Pairs (only two pictures of each landmark):
a- A readable close-up of the plaque itself, with the plaque
making up over 50% of the frame.
b- A shot showing the location of the plaque.
The shot should show the landmark, as well as allowing a
first time visitor to easily locate the plaque.
3- The location of the landmark is mandatory. Use the "map" function or list the address and/or GPS coordinates are also good.
4- The date the plaque was issued (if known) should be mentioned in the caption. (PHLF plaques don't show an issuance date)
5- Try to add landmarks that are not in the pool yet.
6- If you want to add a picture of a landmark that someone else has already put into the pool:
a- make sure your photo is substantially different than the one(s)
in the pool already.
b- In the "comment" section, include a "Small" size photo/link
to the plaque which is already in the pool.
7- If the landmark has changed names, a photo of both the old and new versions of the plaque are welcomed. (example: If you had a shot of the PHLF plaque reading "Sixth Street Bridge" that would be a nice addition, as the existing plaque reads "Roberto Clemente Bridge")
8- If you find your picture(s) has been removed, it is probably because you posted more than the two required pictures of the same landmark. Or maybe the picture is not of a historic landmark at all.
