About Philippe's Bahrain Photo Trip
Hi guys
First of all, thanks all for the great response to my e-mails. I didn't expect so many people to respond, nor to be ready to give me a hand and meet me.
So, thank you so much.
This group will ease (a lot) our communication I think.
As I said, I'll arrive on the 31st and leave on the 15th.
I'm not sure yet if I'll stay the entire time in Bahrain, or if I'll move for a little while in an other country (thinking of Yemen (but no contacts there), or Iran maybe...).
In Bahrain, I'm staying in Juffair, at a friend's place and will have a car.
So...
Thanks to all of you who started to give me some tips, ideas, and advices.
Now, here is what I got in mind, to take back as pictures : non-touristic stuff.
Everyday life. Rich people. Poor people. Bahrainis and immigrants... (well, I shoot mostly people). Different neighborhoods.
Of course, I'll get a shot or two at the Qala'at Al-Bahrain, the Al-Fatih Mosque, or the souq and museums. But those places I can find by myself, on my guidebook (but you're welcome to join of course), ...
What I REALLY need you for, is some inside intell, people and places you know and would be happy to introduce and show, ... and have a drink or two.
For now, I have to confess, I don't have a straight idea of a precise angle... Pearl diving might be a theme to develop...
This group might provide something more : get a chance for you to meet too, if you didn't already. Well, if you want to, that is.
Why not see if we can get an evening whith the one of you that are interested in a little meet-up ?
