Nearby, but the weather report doesn't sound promising:
Rain showers in the morning with numerous thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. High 67F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

I've wanted to reschedule but every weekend that was good for me, the weather forecast was crappy!
How about we aim for next Saturday, July 19th. That was if it's rotten out we could try again for Sunday. let's make it for 4 pm; the light is getting good by then.

POSSIBLE TIME CHANGE?
As it's supposed to be very hot this Saturday, how do people feel about starting around 5 or 5:15 instead, so by the time we're done it's cooling. we'll still have a good couple of hours of light.
Please respond below and let me know; I'll go along with the consensus.

don't know, but I figure if we start at 4 it won't be much cooler by 6 and we'll all pass out. IF we start at 5, by 7 I hope it'll be noticeably cooler and we'll revive.

also, one member (Terrie K) is coming from out of town and I know the later, the better is good for her.

If this is rescheduled, I'd like to come out if I'm available and I probably would be.
Moocatmoocat - parking around CP is mainly free, albeit timed (2-4 hour limits in places, none in others). There's plenty of parking all around the park, on Kingsessing west of the park, on 45th St., etc.
There have been some recent changes in parking times in recent months but it should all be marked on signs.
I also cross-posted this on my blog linking back to here so make more people aware.

I would be coming from Center City. I'm really unsure about the subway/train/trolley system here and don't feel comfortable going by myself. Things aren't this complicated back in Oklahoma. And my roommate (who is from Philly) had to leave this weekend so I don't have anyone to go with me.
So I probably will not get to go.
But I hope you all have fun and get some amazing pictures!!!

Good to see some familiar as well as new faces yesterday--I was kind of out of it due to the heat. Hope we can do this again soon!
Also, I am glad those of you (I think it was most of us?) enjoyed what Dock Street had to offer--it's definitely a bright spot in the 'hood.
