Title: The Shadow Creep Waits...

Phantasm: In Platonic philosophy, objective reality as perceived and distorted by the five senses.
In other words, one might look at something and find it to be ordinary, but another might perceive the subject in a different light. It's the mental image or representation of a real person or thing. Simply put, a product of the imagination.
These things can be found in both nature and anything man-made. Reach down to the recess of your soul and show us your dark side. Something that might appear to be common, may in fact be seen as spooky, eerie, scary, ghostly, surreal, dark or mysterious. For instance, it could be a tree/wooded area, an abandoned house or an image of someone (or some thing). In your eyes, is there something creepy about that tree? Does the house appear to be haunted? Is the person or thing plotting something sinister or lurking within the shadows? If so, bring it out in your photos and share them with us. These are just some examples. Phantasm is what you want it to be... even your very own nightmarish/horrific visions. Film noir/cinematic images are also welcome, as long as they fit the above mentioned theme. Have fun, be creative and show us your best.
