About Flickr Group's Features Need Improvements: Petition to Flickr

Group Petition to Flickr Staff

Everybody is invited to join this group to support our Petition to Flickr HQ.

It is a good cause and a rightful petition in a good will.

Are you a Member, a Moderator, an Admin, or a Founder of one or more groups ruined by a rogue admin?

Has Flickr HQ not listened to you, when you have lost your group because troll admins have banned members for no reason, made your group private, etc.?

Please join our crusade to stop these actions from occurring. If we all band together, as one, the better our chances are that Flickr HQ consider our case to give us the tools to stop these actions!

Groups' Core Faulty Provided by Flickr Needs To Be Fixed: A Petition to Flickr HQ

The following text which is also intend to be a Petition to Flickr HQ is not intend to questioned Flickr HQ capability, neither its professionalism, nor its moral, nor its competence. It is only to talk about facts and it is not personal. The primary goal here is to call our Flickr Community attention to a very serious problem and also to report that to Flickr HQ to ask Flickr Staff help about that very serious problem inside every flickr groups that needs to be fixed to improve our flickr groups and also our Flickr Community that we enjoy a lot. We love Flickr and we believe on Flickr HQ capability. Please we need your help Flickr HQ.

Please If you know those groups founders, that have their groups ransacked by a rogue admin, "please ask them to read this post" and also to those Admins and Moderators of those groups to read this and also to those members and to everybody that do not like that bad situation.

Did your group became private unexpectedly?

Are you Admin or Founder of a group that became private without your permission?

Are you Moderator of a group that became messed up by a rogue admin making you very sad?

Are you a member of a group that became private unexpectedly, making you very frustrated and disappointed?

Have you been banned from a group by a rogue admin making you very upset?

Hasn't your group had that devastating problem yet? So be careful because your group can be the next one because the problem cause for sure exist inside your flickr group too.

Thousands of people have been frustrated with this very serious problem and also countless groups have had the same serious problem and unfortunately many groups will be victim of that fault.

This bad problem is recurrent so many times and Flickr did nothing about that to fix that fault until today.

Have you complained about that problem to Flickr HQ and got a response saying that Flickr Staff can do nothing about that and Flick Staff will not step inside group administration and that problem is only your group issue?

Is this announcement from Flickr HQ very frustrating to you?

Who is responsible to provide to us groups with features inside that could became a very serious trap which can impair an entire group, destroying years of hard work?

Who provided to trolls those group tools that can destroy an entire group?

Who is the main responsible about that faulty core inside every group?

The answer is: Flickr - I am not happy to say that but this is the real truth.

Those trolls just only use those groups tools exploiting those faults which were made by Flickr to destroy groups.

Who is responsible to implement tools inside every group that can allow us to override and lock that problem by our own without Flickr Staff intervention?

The answer again is: Flickr - but despite flickr is aware of that very serious problem we do not have those most wanted tools and flickr did nothing about that until today to allow us to deal effectively with that very serious problem and always seems that has shirking its responsibility saying that it is our group issue, but actually it is not our group issue because we can do nothing about that and we do not have the right tools to deal with that problem as well, so that problem is for sure a impossible task to us, so it can’t be our group issue.

How could we manage an impossible task?

It is impossible to us for sure, so it is not our group issue and it is for sure Flickr Staff issue.

Does Flickr seem to be omitted and complacent about that very serious problem and really is shirking from its responsibility? I don't think so. I don't think that Flickr is neglectful but until today did nothing better than to say to us that it is our group issue and also did anything to fix the problem.

The fault problem is because when the group founder promote some people to admin the founder can not demote that people anymore and that people become another chairman on the group having the same power of the founder.

Almost everybody knows that all groups must have only one chairman and if groups have more than one chairman the group administration eventually become an impossible task. This is a very basic principle of administration.

This unwanted situation is not fair because we have the possibility to promote some people that could deceive us despite we are very careful to chose people to be admin and also sometimes people could have some disagreement and could mess up our group as a revenge at any time like to make it private without any permission impairing all group members because of the decision of only one person which could be done by its own discretion at any time.

Only one person as a rogue admin have the power to destroy years of a hard work, an entire group that could have hundred of thousand pictures with hundred of thousand members, this unwanted problem is not fair, and unfortunately the core problem is provided by flickr.

Is Flickr Staff incapable to understand that basic principle of administration aforementioned? I don’t think so, they are great professionals but I can not understand why they didn't fix that problem yet despite many complaints sent to Flickr HQ regarding to the same recurrent problem mentioned here.

What is the conclusion until today about the possibility of every group can impair all group members?

“Flickr provide a service to us with a real potential to disappoint flickr users which is the flickr groups provide by flickr system.”

When we will have on our groups the right tools to solve that bad problem? Never?

Flickr urge to fix that very serious problem.

Despite that very serious problem Flickr Staff is doing many great works to make available to us many great services, so based on that experience we still believe on Flickr HQ.

Hope that problem will be fixed soon.
