About The Digital Petit Boulevard

This group is meant for people who, first of all, know what Art is. And knowing what Art is, they realize their own limitations and the fact that they may be wrong about their estimation of how good their own Art is. If even after that they sincerely think that what they are doing could be good Art and they have no suitable venue to show their work to others, then this group could be the right place for them.

The name of the group is, of course, inspired by the term Van Gogh used for the group of painters (including himself) around a hundred years ago, who were not (yet) 'big' enough to get their work exhibited at the Grand Boulevard.

But it's not just the name that matters. This group is also supposed to be based on the ideas (about Art) of the painters of the Petit Boulevard, with all their diversity and all their contradictions.

Adjusted for the gap of one century and, in some cases, a gap of a continent or two.
