You Decide: the new welcome at Manchester Airport Arrivals:
Manchester Airport, in association with BBC Radio Manchester, has launched a search for photographs of the people and places of Greater Manchester to help welcome the millions of arriving passengers at the airport with some lasting first impressions of the region.
However, the airport wants the public to decide on the images which they believe best portrays everything great and unique about the region; and has invited people to submit images they have taken themselves to the Manchester Airport Flickr group for consideration to go on permanent display in Terminal One.
The selected images will be enlarged to a floor to ceiling size and accredited with the photographer’s name to form part of the new Arrivals Experience in T1; which will eventually be extended to Terminals Two and Three.
There is no limit to the number of photographs submitted for consideration – they can be recent or new – and to help those in need of inspiration, BBC Radio Manchester have kindly supplied a list of the forthcoming ’50 Things To Do In Greater Manchester Before You Die’ feature here: www.manchesterairport.co.uk/arrivalsphotosearch
Entrants should submit their photographs online to Manchester Airport’s Flickr group here: before midday on Friday 19th March 2010 for consideration for display in Terminal One.
