09 Sep 11 - Muted colors are required for this group. That means softer colors, misty pictures, and pictures that connote a feeling of being alone in nature. The mood required is quiet and tranquil. Solitude and stillness are the keys. Colors should be dull, not bright. Please, no roaring waterfalls, bright fall foilage shots, or sunsets. This isn't the group for vivid reds, oranges, purples and pinks. Location/description required for each shot.

About Peaceful and Quiet - natural, solitary, muted, distant scenery

Professional quality, nature-based scenic pictures that evoke still, quiet, soothing, and peaceful moods. Colors should be soft and gentle, preferably pastels.

Pictures should have a quality about them that is able to touch the soul and be restorative. Pictures should not contain manmade objects.

Examples: Soft rainbows, very subtle and soft-colored sunsets, fog, mist, snow, ripples, and water droplets. Also beautiful rural and country shots. Very small gentle brooks, minute lulling waves, and small, misty waterfalls are acceptable.

No nudity or shots with bugs, snakes, preditors or jungle animals. Pictures should not be manipulated or PhotoShop'd.

In a nutshell: Nature, beauty, hope, healing, peace, gentleness, quiet. Purpose of group is to give an outlet from stress, city life, war, conflict, and everyday pressures of life.
