I think for many people that is the primary reason why people attend the Flickr Meetups. But there are many others like:
1. Show off your brand spanking new camera
2. Drink beer
3. Collect the prize as the photo contest winner
4. Check out one of Don Pyle's amazing handcrafted pinhole cameras
5. Make plans with like minded photogs for photo roadtrip adventures
6. Opportunity to take candids of people at the meetup without getting assaulted.

Whoa. I had no idea that Italian restaurant closed. They seemed to always be busy...? Or maybe I just walked by at the right times? Regardless, I'm glad there's a Rogue in my neighborhood! I'll be there!

Photowalk: As long as the weather cooperates, I propose meeting at 5:30 to walk around the area. Let's say we meet at Violetta at Director's Park, then, we can make our way back up towards the Rogue Hall. How's that sound?

I didn't think I'd be able to make it but plans have changed. I'd also be down for the photowalk before. Carie, there's a Pedalpalooza "Tutu Ride" leaving from the Salmon Street Fountain (SW Salmon & Naito) at 6 that could make for some good photos. We could wind our way up from there.

Wow, this will go down as a meetup to remember! First of all we couldn't have asked for better patio meetup weather to enjoy our Rogue brews. A few minutes after Carie arrives with the photowalk troops, Jake from Flickr shows up with a box full of schwag including cool T-shirts, lens cloths and Pro upgrade coupons.
Jake you rock! :D
Congratulations to Victor Vonsalza on winning the photo contest with his stunning rendition of that cool new ride at the fun center! Unfortunately since Victor couldn't make the meetup we will once again have to roll the prize money (now a whopping total of $19.35) to next month's contest.
