About I Need A Vacation! (Please Read the Rules)

Most of us take cameras along when we go on vacation. Those are the photos needed for this group! There are a few rules that you need to follow, and I've got them right here:

RULES ABOUT POSTING:

1 - Photos only. No artwork or non-photographic images.

2 - No manipulated images! Cropping is fine, Plain B&W or Sepia tone is fine. Exposure/Image enhancement for contrast, clarity, and sharpness is fine. No “cut & paste” jobs, special effects, or color replacement. The pictures should be as close to how the camera saw it as possible.

3 - Please keep “contrived” photos to a minimum. I’m not talking about pictures where you structure where everyone is standing, etc. I’m talking about photos that weren’t taken spur of the moment; rather, they were taken deliberately to be art shots, not just snapshots. A few are acceptible, such as unique building and beach shots, but apply the idea that it should be something that you had to go on vacation to see. If I think something doesn’t belong to that category, I’ll give you a chance to defend your posting of the photo. If I am not swayed, however, your photo will be removed. NOTE: I’m less likely to question photos that have been tagged as vacation photos.

4 - NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, vulgar or of questionable taste. Flickr is the first judge of this, but I have final ruling. If I think it’s vulgar or questionable, I’ll toss it out of the group, even if Flickr would possibly allow it. You will get no warning that your photo is going to be deleted in this case.

5 - Lastly, comments are encouraged, but not required. If you decide to leave any comments, please follow the commenting rules below.

1 - Be nice. These are memory photos, not pieces of art (generally speaking). It’s one thing to criticize someone’s technical skill in creating contrived photos, but please don’t be critical when it comes to people’s memories.

2 - Please add the following tag line to any comments you leave on photos in this pool:
