Mission
The mission of Phoenix Black Photographers (PBP) is to provide opportunities for photography-related social networking, skill-building and community involvement for black photographers in the metro-Phoenix area.
Objectives
PBP aims to…
1. Provide a forum for black photographers, from amateur to professional, to meet, discuss, share and shoot
2. Provide informational and hands-on training opportunities for members to improve their photography skills
3. Support efforts that bring exposure to and recognize the achievements of the photographers within its membership
4. Educate ourselves and the greater community about the works of notable black photographers past and present
5. Reach out to minority youth in an effort to foster a life-long appreciation for the art of photography
6. "Give back" to the community through artistic contributions and volunteer activities
