06 Sep 10 - Paul Cret (October 24, 1876 – September 8, 1945) may be the most obscure successful architect in U.S. history. Graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, University of Pennsylvania professor, and designer of numerous civic buildings, Cret's work spanned the early 20th century neoclassical revival and the early modern period of American architecture.
