About Passmore-Edwards Centenary Photographic Exhibition.
To celebrate the Centenary of Cornish Philanthropist John Passmore-Edwards, Dean Evans of the Passmore-Edwards website, Truro Community Library and Fotonow, invite submissions for a special photographic exhibition.
This group is designed for people of all ages and photographic skill to upload images in response the the theme of 'Community'.
What does community mean to you? And how can it be captured in a photograph? It can be as broad or as literal an interpretation as you wish, of anything and everything; ultimately our aim is to create a lasting archive of photographs from the people living and working in Cornwall today, following in the community motivated and focused ethos of Passmore-Edwards himself.
The exhibition will take place from the 23rd of July until the 13th of August at the Truro Community Library, one of the 70 major buildings that were established as a direct result of his bequests.
Aside from uploading as many images as you like to this group, we ask that you send one A4 sized photograph of your favourite picture that best fits the theme as you see it, to arrive at the address below no later than July 16th 2011.
All images will be considered for the group exhibition with a prize awarded to the overall winner as judged by Dean Evans (Passmore-Edwards webite), Crea Brooks (Truro Community Library), Matt Pontin and Jon Blyth (Fotonow).
