About Parks of Western Washington
The Parks of Western Washington group was created to showcase the many wonderful and often little known public parks in Western Washington.
To be included in the group pool, photographs must be taken at a national, state, county or city park. Examples of such locations include Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge in Ridgefield, Volunteer Park in Seattle, Point Defiance or Tollefson Plaza in Tacoma.
Photographs not meeting the posting requirements will be removed from the pool. When possible, we will attempt to let you know why your photograph was removed.
Rule #1
To help maintain diversity in the pool, members are allowed to add five photographs per day.
Rule #2
For the benefit of your fellow photographers, please use the map feature here on Flickr to point to the park where the photograph was taken. See How Do I Add My Photos to a Map for instructions on how to use the map feature. You don't have to mark the exact spot where the photograph was taken, just the general vicinity.
If your photographs are not geotagged, you will receive an error message stating your content is not allowed.
Rule #3 (Optional)
Please tag your photograph with the name of the park and, if possible, the city. For example, "Wright Park" Tacoma will add the tags "Wright Park" and "Tacoma" to your photograph. Note the quotation marks around Wright Park, they tell Flickr the space is part of the tag.
Rule #4 (Optional)
Feel free to announce group or social photography outings (sometimes known as photorolls or photostrolls) in the discussion group. When doing so, please put the name of the nearest city in brackets at the start of the discussion title.
Example
[Tacoma] Point Defiance Photoroll - May 15th, 2006
