On Friday September 21, 2007, in more than 40 cities nationwide and 50 cities around the world, more than 150 temporary parks sprang to life in cities.
Conceived by REBAR, a San Francisco-based art collective, on National Park(ing) Day public parking spaces were transformed into parks - at least until the meters ran out.
