About Palm trees in temperate locales

Post any photos you have of palm trees or other related exotic landscaping in an urban or suburban setting, but they must be located in 'temperate' climates. For example, a picture of Miami would be unacceptable. A picture of Torbay, England, Vancouver, BC, Seattle, WA, Baltimore would be acceptable.

Generally the areas that palm trees can grow well outside of the tropics are: Ireland and the southern half of England, western, central and southern France, the United States East Coast from South Carolina up to Baltimore and Philadelphia, as well as western Washington and Oregon, Vancouver and Victoria B.C., Chile south of Valparaiso, much of Argentina, most of New Zealand, Victoria and NSW Australia. Some other places I may have not mentioned but the general idea is to show these trees surviving in harsher climates - i.e. sub freezing temperatures in winter and an average annual temperature below 60 F a year.
