About Palencia (Spain): Romanesque Art

Group for all those lovers of Romanesque art and its camouflaging with the landscape of Palencia. It all kind of Romanesque art that has in Palencia and its province (including plundered).
Some time ago there was an attempt to Unesco included within the Historical Heritage of Humanity, the 'Cultural Space of Romanesque Norte de Castilla y Leon and South Cantabria', but, fortunately, does not come in the Michelin Guide or the Pilot, the proposal is rejected.
Now, the Junta of Castilla and León, with the Government of La Rioja, have submitted an application to get to the Romanesque northern Burgos and Palencia and the southern boundary of the Commonwealth, the statement Heritage of Europe.
Of course, anyone who knows this area (north Palencia, Burgos, south of Cantabria) knows that deserves Heritage of the Galaxy, but it is also true that one of the charms of this area is that you can still see the Romanesque without hazing, without excessive overcrowding.
All those who know the Romanesque Palentina or Cantabrian, know that is a Romanesque beloved by the small size of their churches and their integration with the landscape that still remains in place, do not have the sandwich more than fair.
This group wants to publicize it in Palencia is not only the acartonada still beautiful church of San Martin de Frómista, nor the great monasteries of Aguilar, San Andres Arroyo, or the crypt of San Antolín, Church of Santiago in Carrion . He wants to make known that virtually almost all the people of this province is some rest Romanesque (sometimes in churches with too many additions later to be taken into account by most staff).
The whole province treasure this wealth, this heritage, unfortunate that, except part of the area and Aguilar Carrion-Fómista, languishes, nobody poses her eyes there, it is impossible to see inside the churches (and sometimes outside, enclosed porches) , No visiting hours rather than in large packages. We can not see the interior decoration, triumphal arches, their capitals, the magnificent baptismal font, they have so many churches Palentino.
Even some of the best known nor can visit, you have to reach people ask whether you can see where the person lives who has the key, bothered to their occupations, and meanwhile Palencia (actually throughout the Community) continues to lose people, continues to lose work, with so much beauty by publicizing ...
