The (Digital) Paint Creations Group is where you showcase the art you create using your favorite graphics program.
There are so many bitmap graphics editors available for you to make your masterpiece nowadays:
* Costly and proprietary programs, such as Adobe Photoshop
* Powerful and inexpensive(!) freeware programs, like Paint.NET and Picasa,Sumo
* Free and completely open source programs, like GIMP
All of these programs can be used to create beautiful digital artwork. The fact that there are powerful, free programs available make creating digital art a fun pastime for any age.

We are changing the award comment codes and rules to simplify them. Although it was an interesting experiment, it gave some members a headache, and two ill administrators too much to do! So, the new rules are similar to the common standard for flickr groups:
Here's how it works:
1. INVITATIONS. We ask you, our members to use the INVITE CODE, shown below, to invite images that are NOT already in the group pool, but that you believe deserve to be.
2. COMMENTS. When you see an image in our group pool, and you are moved to make a comment, please include our COMMENT CODE, shown below, with your comment. This lets your fellow artist know which groups help to generate interest in his or her images.
3. AWARDS. If you see an image in our group pool that you think is outstanding, comment using the AWARD CODE shown below. This bestows the Field of Stars award on the recipient, who can then post the awarded image to our AWARDED IMAGES discussion thread.
Thanks so much! Hope you thought the star method was a little something different, and sometimes even fun, but also hope you find it much easier to comment and award with the new system.
