About Poppodium P60

P60 is the venue in Amstelveen, Netherlands for pop, culture and multimedia. The venue opened November 1st, 2001, and is built on the culture strand, Stadsplein 100a. P60 is named after the old 'Plein 60'. The stage is located next to the city theatre, music school and open university. Infront of us, you'll find the city square (10.000 people capacity) and opposite us the public library, the congress center of Amstelveen, the Cobramuseum and the shopping/gastronomic strand. The bus station is just around the corner while the A9 is right behind us.

P60 is an ultra modern venue and distinguishes itself by its slick and translucent design. The frontage of the building is entirely made of glass with metal strips which provide a view into the café the suite and the office.

The P60 café is located on the ground floor. There's a pool table, you can read the latest issues of music magazines there as well, view the foto exhibitions while enjoying a light beverage or snack. The café is open from Thursdays to Saturdays from 20:00 to 01:00. The Jazzclub is open every last Sunday of the month from 15:00.

On the first floor, you'll find the P60 Suite (capacity is 100 people) which is always open when concerts and dance events are going on in the concert hall. It is a lounge type room with a bar and has a beautiful view of the city square. In addition to the regular program, dj's can also be found spinning in the suite. There is also a wardrobe and two stage rooms on the first floor.

The concert hall (capacity is 650 people) is on the second and third (balcony) floor as well as two bars. This dark blue hall has a 9 meter stage and excellent acoustics. Besides pop concerts, it is also the host to dance events such as Heroes of Techno, Club r_AW, Underground Frequencies, Total Confusion and also festivals, gala's, hit parties and special events. P60 has become known for its remarkable quality of sound and has been used for rehearsals, recordings and live performances for many artists. The building is fully equipped for radio and television broadcasts and there is a 100MB data network that runs through the entire building.
