About Overratedness

Ever run across a photo that gets a huge number of favorites or comments or views and you think "what\'s so special about THAT?" Ever run across a photographer whose every photo is fawned over and you wonder "why are they kissing his ass like this? I don\'t get it."

It seems to violate Flickr\'s niceynicey comment etiquette to say "um, this ain\'t nothin\' special, in fact it\'s crap." on the photo\'s page (unless they signed up for DeleteMe). So DO IT HERE.

Think a photo is overrated? Feature the photo in a discussion topic. Talk about why it\'s overrated. Give examples of better photos like the overrated one. Let loose. Vent.

Sound like a whiney group? Good. It is. A little whining never hurt anyone, especially when there are so many overrated photos to whine about.
