About Outdoors in Michigan - WKAR
The Outdoors in Michigan photo sharing project runs on Flickr.com, a free photo sharing site, to encourage participation and provide maximum public access.
Post your favorite photos of the Michigan outdoors to your Flickr account, and then add them to the Outdoors in Michigan photo group. A Flickr account is free, and easy to set-up.
To Participate…
You must be 18 or older. If you are under 18, please ask your parent or guardian to submit your photos.
By putting the photos up in your own Flickr account, you control them and the comments they receive.
* If you don't have a Flickr account, create one (it’s free!)
* In your Flickr account join the Outdoors in Michigan photo group
* Upload your photos to your account
* Photos may be any size
* Share where the photo was taken
* Tell us something about the photo to help us understand its context

* submit photos taken anywhere in Michigan, with or without people in them
* submit color, black and white, or partially desaturated photos
* edit your photo however you like
* submit photos taken at any time
* enter photos that may have been published or used elsewhere, as long as you own the copyright
Please don't share photos that ...
* you didn't take, or for which someone else owns the copyright
* depict someone else's copyrighted work (for example, a photo of a painting)
* serve mainly to advertise a product
* show nudity, drugs, violence, or symbols or acts of hatred
* are illegal or prohibited
* violate Flickr's community guidelines
By submitting photos to a WKAR group, you give WKAR and Michigan State University permission to use them for non-profit purposes, including but not limited to environmental education and awareness. This permission includes, but is not limited to, publication by WKAR in printed materials, television broadcasts, Web sites, or our intranet. You will not be compensated for such use. However, where reasonable, we will give you credit for the photos.
