06 Jul 08 - I'm starting a new group about the cool, mid-century artifacts that I see inside or outside and around town on a daily basis. I don't want these historical pieces to go by the wayside and be forgotten. That's why we have to document it.
I like the signs but I'd love to see close ups of the signs. Details, colors, letters, starbursts and other tiny details. Keep em coming. This is a very fun subject for me.
Heck, throw in art deco whist you're at it!

About Indoor/Outdoor Atomic Aged Beauty

I love just going around town and finding artifacts left over from that cool, atomic aged era we affectionately refer to as "Mid Century".

From mid century architecture to swank little details like doors, lights, chairs, kids playground equipment, etc. I still see it all over the place.
It's super cool and the details still hold up. This stuff is just sitting there in everybody's home town. Photograph it before it's gone.
