About Outdoors Documentary Photography

This group is for documentary photographs taken during hiking, canoeing, kayaking, boating, rock climbing, skiing or alpine expeditions, etc. Documentary means that the images should not be posed and must show a person or a group of people engaged in an outdoors activity. Image manipulations should be kept to a minimum.

The photographs, submitted to this group, should be interesting to someone who does not know the people in the picture. This usually means that the images should show an interesting story/action, or be very strong photographically, or both :). A plain picture of a group walking along the trail, most likely, does not belong here.

IMPORTANT: Please don't post ego shots, portraits, landscapes, even if they were taken during an outdoors activity. If posted, such photographs will be deleted.
