About Out Among 'Em -- Hunting in Elk Country
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is a nonprofit wildlife conservation organization dedicated to ensuring the future of elk and other wildlife by conserving, restoring and enhancing natural habitats.
From Pacific coast rainforests, to Rocky Mountain peaks, high desert and mist-shrouded Appalachian hollows, elk live in some of the most spectacular country on earth. Submit your photos and help show others why elk country is worth protecting.
Our Flickr group is for folks to share moments from the field. We like trophy shots as much as anybody, but please keep them tasteful. We’re especially interested in photos portraying elements of the hunt besides the kill—such as chores, meals, camps, camaraderie, playfulness, misery and drudgery. Our “Out Among ‘Em” group could be the land of opportunity for your whimsical, your artful, your nostalgic, your candid, your different hunt photos, old and new. In the caption please include the state or province where taken; and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
