About Our Pink Triangle.

The pink triangle, now a gay pride and gay rights symbol, was originally used by the Nazis to Brand us.

Those who were Branded as Homosexuals were made to wear this Pink Triangle in the concentration camps.
Many Homosexuals who wore the Pink Triangle or the yellow star (because they were both gay and Jewish) would die at the hands of the Nazis.
After the camps were liberated at the end of the Second World War, many of the pink triangle prisoners were often simply re-imprisoned by the Allied-established Federal Republic of Germany.

It would not be until the end of the 1970s, that the pink triangle was adopted as a symbol for gay rights protest (wikipedia).

Today, regardless if the triangle is facing up or down it is now ours. We hold it dearly in our hearts.We don't forget and we pay Homage to all those who wear it either on the inside or the outside.
