About Ottawa River
Ottawa River is a moderated group.
From it's source to it's mouth, images that demonstrate the qualities of the river: size, ecology, beauty, uses, fauna and flora, uniqueness. The river must be the primary subject. People can be included if they are integral to the Ottawa River theme.
No video.
Geotagging will identify where on the Ottawa River the image was taken. It is not a requirement, but it will include your image on the Map link (see top of page next to the number of Members). It will help those who are interested to know where the shot was taken. To geotag your image, go to the bottom right of your image page and click on "Place this photo on a map". Alternatively, go to the Organize page and click on the Map tab.

Staff of Ottawa Riverkeeper periodically look through this Flickr group for good Ottawa River images that may be useful in their publications or in support of specific projects. Photos from the pool will not be used without permission. Naturally, you don't have to say yes, but if Ottawa Riverkeeper contacts you, I hope you will seriously consider letting them use your photograph. Perhaps you may become as interested as I am in helping this non-profit charity by doing something I love to do - photography. If you want to be found, and as the pool grows, good key wording of location, activity, season, etc. might be useful as well as the geotagging mentioned above.
Tourism-type Ottawa River images can also be posted in Ontario Travel Pics or Québec Travel Pics, whichever be the case. These are two other groups which I administer.
