Members of the Origami Tessellations group on Flickr wanted to create a design challenge for origami tessellations, based on the annual design challenge initiated by Robert Lang & Co. (sorry guys, I'm grouping you all together - my apologies!)
However, since we are such a far-flung group of like-minded people who primarily interact online, it seemed cruel to block out all our friends who are not attending this year's Origami USA convention in NYC from playing along. So the origami tessellation design challenge is open to anyone who wishes to participate. To that end, I have created this group - please post your entry for the Tessellation Design Challenge 2008 to this photo pool, so it can be reviewed by all.
The theme this year is "Order vs. Chaos". No restrictions on paper size, shape, etc; the only limitation is just one sheet of paper - no more.
Please post only one design - multiple photos is OK (encouraged, actually) but stick to a single folded model for your submission.
Those commenting: please be polite, and keep your criticisms constructive. We are looking to support and encourage artistic growth and development here, so keep that in mind.
