About Old Royal Naval College Greenwich

Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) is home to Wren's twin domed baroque masterpiece, set in landscaped grounds on the River Thames in the centre of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.

On the grounds of the ORNC are the magnificent Painted Hall - the finest dining hall in the Western world, the Chapel - a complete and unaltered neo-classical period piece, and Discover Greenwich - a dynamic and interactive exhibition taking you through the history of Greenwich from Henry VIII's palace to modern day.

The ORNC grounds are open daily 08.00 – 18.00. Closed 24 to 26 December.
The Painted Hall, Chapel and Discover Greenwich are open daily 10.00 – 17.00.
On Sunday the Chapel is open for public worship at 11.00 and open to visitors from 12.30. Please note that the Painted Hall and/or Chapel may occasionally be closed at short notice.

Admission to all is free of charge.

The site can be entered from Cutty Sark Gardens, College Approach, Romney Road Gate, Royal Gate and on Park Row.

Book a guided tour of the buildings and grounds to make the most of your visit, £6 per adult, free for children under 16.
