About Orhei

It's about the Orhei city, it is situated in the center of the Republic of Moldova! Beautiful green city! Orhei (Yiddish: Uriv - אוריװ, Russian Orgeyev - Оргеев) is a town and an administrative region of Moldova with a population of 25,680. It is located at 47°23′N 28°49′E, in the centre of the country. The name "Orhei" is, according to one theory, derived from the Hungarian word Őrhely, meaning "fortress", dating from the 13th century, when Hungarian forces built a series of defences in the area.
