My interest and commitment to publicisize and avail information about organ donation, does reflect the views of organizations or persons I am associated with, or the transplant community in general. The ethics and practice of organ donation differs on all levels, this is the reason for a thread here dedicated to providing links to local and national specialists on organ donation.

About ORGAN DONATION - The gift of life !!! . . . your's to give.

This group is about educating and encouraging people to DONATE their organs for TRANSPLANTATION to SAVE, or improve, the lives of others.

There are two types of organ donation, CADAVER and LIVING / RELATED donation. Both are governed by frequently reviewed criteria worldwide. Organ donation is an accepted procedure in 99% of religions and beliefs.

To REGISTER as an organ donor is a HUMANE, religious and civic. DUTY. It is a strongly, sincere, personal, passionate and posititve choice that you can make to better your own life and TRANSFORM that of other's and their families.

When you make this choice, you must INFORM your next of KIN that it is your wish to donate after your death.

Transplanted VITAL organs save the lives of people who CHERISH the value of LIFE because they have been threatened by dying earlier than they might. Other organs and body tissues can be used to improve the quality of life of many other SICK people too.

Please know that once you have made your DECISION to be an ORGAN DONOR, then you are rewarded by God as if you had donated all your organs. Once you have the knowledge, God expects you to act on it.

Give blood regularly, and if you are a blood donor ask your physician if you are a candidate for Blood Cell Epheresis.
