About Orchid Species Photographs
This is the companion Flickr Group to the website Orchid Species Photographs by Eric Hunt
There are over 30,000 different orchid species - the largest flowering plant family on earth.
We welcome your photos of orchid species - from your greenhouse, your garden, found growing in nature, wherever you may find an orchid species in bloom.
This group serves as a showcase for your photos and as a research tool for the study of orchids. With that in mind, please make sure all of your photos are identified at least to genus. If you are unsure if it's a species, start a thread in the discussion area, and we'll all discuss and try to find an ID for you.
As this is a growing database, please feel free to add as many photos at a time as you have. It's nice popping into the group and having a lot of new plants to look at!

(Note: the group is invite-only because so many well-intentioned people were posting unidentified orchid shots. You must have more than 5 clearly and accurately labeled photographs of an orchid species in your Photostream in order to join the group. I'm not a snob - I just can't spend all my time deleting off-topic photos)
