First and foremost this group is NOT a mass dumping ground for run of the mill images. It is an invitation-only and submission controlled group for a broad collection of some of the most innovative and visually stimulating light art and nocturnal imagery on flickr. The intention is to select pool images based on quality, originality, impact and technical expertise. Take a good look at the growing pool and critically consider whether your image would comfortably sit shoulder to shoulder with the images currently gracing the pool. Please don't take offence if your images are not selected as this could be for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps they don't strictly conform to the above criteria, have not yet been reviewed or not even yet spotted by our discerning eyes.

Initially the pool will be formed by searching through 1000s of amazing images and the vast collections of personal, contacts and contact's contacts favourites ! This will inevitably lead to delays and an illogical posting order that no way indicates any form of favouritism or bias to a particular contributor or subject matter. It is obvious that the big hitters are likely to have a larger percentage as they will either have been active for a longer period of time or are simply more capable of producing outstanding images.

Not designed to compete or conflict with any other group.
No mass-debating about SOOC, croppage or other trivia. There are other places for that.
No bashing members in public. It will make you blind and you will form calluses.
No home interior test shots unless they are extraordinary.

This is simply somewhere to chill out with a beer and a packet of crisps or pork scratchings and lap up some amazing images. Perhaps a place to come for some inspiration when you are flagging and to be reminded what can be achieved when we are at the top of our game.
