16 Jul 08 - PLEASE read and follow the rules: Today I have gone through (June 26, 2008) a lot of pictures submitted and deleted them. It was nothing personal. I scarcely had time to look at names. If the picture is nearly all purple, or the main subject is nearly all purple, that is NOT what we are looking for. Please remember this group is NOT about primarily or dominantly purple pictures, Maybe a cat with a little purple bell on the collar. Or a parade where most of the clowns are NOT purple but one IS.

About Obligatory Purple Objects

Purple things that captured your attention and you thought you ought to capture.

It is NOT about a mainly purple picture. It is about other colors as the main thing, and then somewhere in the picture, an object that is purple.Take a look at the archives for the Obligatory Yellow Things group, and see what I mean.

Example would be at a horserace, mostly brown horses, but one jockey somewhere in the picture wearing a purple number or cap.
