About Operation Jack Marathon & Half: December 26 in Manhattan Beach

Operation Jack is an epic effort by Sam Felsenfeld to honor his autistic son Jack while raising money for autism charities by running 61 marathons in 2010. The finale of this project is on December 26 in Manhattan Beach, when Sam will run the first-ever Operation Jack Marathon presented by Apriori Beauty. The run will take place on December 26 in Manhattan Beach, and run north right along the coast for 6.55 miles before turning around. Marathoners will complete a 2nd loop. The course is below along with pics from the course.

In addition, there are satellite runs being held nationwide in all 50 states. All runs of 6.1 miles (to signify Sam's 61 marathons) will take place on December 26 and may involve just one runner or a dozen.

Finally, we're asking all participants to fund raise for Operation Jack, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Whether you're running locally, nationally or globally, head over to Kintera to raise money from your friends, family & acquaintances.

If you want to contribute but not run, you're welcome to sponsor any team member. If you donate through Jake's fund raising page (me), I'll match the first $5 of each donation.

All proceeds go to Operation Jack & onto Train 4 Autism, which has already raised over $70,000 on its way to $100,000 or more in a year. In addition, Sam has helped start Train 4 Autism chapters in nearly a dozen cities.
