Well this is for people who want to set up a collection with one photo a day. I know there are a few other groups, but this one is very open, and there are no rules really. (All I really ask is that you avoid using swear words, and post no obscene images as there are children under 12 who like to look at the photos, thank you). I am interested in how people's lives are going to change, so feel free to add a little diary comment under each photo. Photos can be of you, taken by yourself, or you can have someone else take the photo. You do not need to be in the photo. Also, it does not even matter if you miss a few days or weeks even. It is more a case of having a photo diary of your year that you can look back on and see the changes in your life, your circumstances, and have memories of who came into, and out of your lives in this year.
The above was written in 2009, when the group started. It opened for business on 1st January 2009. Since then it was amazing, looking at other people's daily lives, the amazing photos, the highlights, the fun, their adventures, and also a few down times as well.
Since then this group grew and grew. I always wanted to run a lovely friendly group, but then we found that many people just seemed to be dumping their photos here and never contributing to the discussions, or commenting on the photos. I know this sounds terrible, but what we are trying to create here is just a small little community of people who really embrace the concept. I am not too sure that the concept really works for a massive group, as there is no way it is possible to really look at every submission. So we are actually quite happy with the size of group, and are not looking to actively expand.
After saying that, we really are quite a friendly little group, and if you do think you would like to join not just a group to post your photos, but quite an active and positive little community, then of course you are more than welcome to join in!
